Monument Valley straight from the Far West

Monument Valley straight from the Far West

“Well, there are things from which a man cannot run away.” – John Wayne

This is what John Wayne says in one of his movies. I’m not a big fan of him, but today we are in the place where his movies came to life, where every real movie cowboy looked toward the horizon with a suggestive music and the sound of hooves galloping as background sound. Here we are: Monument Valley!

Vegas, Excess World Capital

Vegas, Excess World Capital

Our journey throughout the streets of America continues. We are in the desert, in the midst of dust, and red soil and snakes. A perfect match.
While our eyes are trying to look around as much as possible so as not to miss anything of that landscape, there appears from nowhere the City of contrast, easy money, the casinos, many movies and marriages celebrated after too many drinks. All of this and much more is Las Vegas!

Horseshoe Bend, Probably My Favorite Canyon

Horseshoe Bend, Probably My Favorite Canyon

We wake up, surrounded by red rocks and sand, just little shrubbery. Page, a little city, born likely cause of the Glen Canyon Damn, and its liked tourist’s activities. Full of Native Americans, brings a typical atmosphere. Dave got fever. He doen’t care too much, we have to spots to visit, stunning places! First stop: Horseshoe Bend, I missed last time I was around here, now I know it, I can’t miss it!! Look at it!!

Bryce Canyon, Directly from Star Wars!

Bryce Canyon, Directly from Star Wars!

Yesterday we visited Zion National Park, we don’t really know what to expect from Bryce Canyon, but everyone in the area highly recommend us to visit this Park too, so there we go!
We don’t want to repeat yesterday’s mistake, so we organize in advance the Bryce Canyon visit.
Indeed, Bryce Canyon, but on our way, we found ourself inside the Dixie National Forest.

Calico, Road Trip in the Wild West

Calico, Road Trip in the Wild West

It’s Road Trip time. We wake up early, we shower, we have a quick breakfast at the first Starbucks we met and straight through the desert! The journey it’ll be long so it is good to start with a good breakfast.
First stop: Ghost Town, Calico and then followed by Las Vegas. Like every good Road Trip in the West, we found ourselves soon immersed in the Californian dusty desert. Interstate 15 leads us toward the correct path. From the city of angels to our final destination, Vegas.
